  3. ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’Luke 16:24

  4. ‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house, for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’ Luke 16:27, 28

  5. What do we learn from this story? • The man saw Lazarus every single day and never gave him food or money. • We should care about others before its too late. • Its important to listen to and act upon the word of God. • You could be rich on Earth but poor in heaven!

  6. 2 Corinthians 9:7 • So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.

  7. What can I give? • Money • Time • Food • A helping hand • A service

  8. To know for this week • What we have is from God, not from us. • God gives us most of what we have and we are simply keeping some and giving some back. To Practice for this week • Think of someone in need and give them something (doesn’t have to be money).
