  5. 2010 Outdoor Ethics Progress • Trainer Courses: • June Course Canceled • October Course Successful! 11 Participants Thanks Kevin Y, John S! • Council Event Presence: • Council Camporee LNT Activity: 60 youth, 30 adults • Pow Wow: “Teaching LNT to Cubs” - 13 leaders • (Wheatridge Cub Day Camp: 30 scouts, 10 adults) • District Events (by Trainers): • RM Roundtable – LNT Awareness Workshop • RM COLT – LNT Awareness • Frontier IOLS – LNT Awareness • LNT “What’s New” – other Roundtables?

  7. 2011 Outdoor Ethics Goals • More Trainers– Build our Base • Put Them to Work– LNT Awareness to Units • Recruit (Train) one more Master Educator • Recruit/Train 30 more Trainers • At least 1 active in each District by April • Trainer on each District Training Team • Scoutmaster IOLS / COLT • Outdoor Ethics Promotion Display foruse at meetings/events

  8. 2011 Outdoor Ethics Goals • LNT Trainers on Camp Staff • EHAB Staff • Nature Staffs • So we can offer BSA LNT 101 at Camps • LNT Course or Activity at key Council Events • LNT Activities at District Camping Events • Offer at least 1 LNT 101 Course in each District • Start to support Awareness / Activity / 101 for Troops • Recognition for Conservation Committee and Active LNT Trainers (District Recognition Events)

  9. 2012 Goals / Plans? • All Districts have Active Trainers teaching LNT at events, troop meetings, … • Cub Leader Training includes “Teaching LNT” • Reaching Units • 80% of Troops have adult/youth w/ BSA LNT 101 • Host Master Educator Course at BDSR • First week of Camp?

  10. Conservation Committee –We Need Your Help! • Recruit – Get them to Trainer Training • (Interim) Contact for LNT • Promote / Cooperation – Work with Training, Camping, Activities to find opportunities for LNT activities / training

Attend Trainings. • Personal Commitment • Commit yourself to following the BSA Outdoor Ethics • Do It / Live It • Everything you do outdoors. Set the Example. Strive to improve. • Teach & Encourage Others • Leadership to promote LNT and pass on your skills, knowledge and commitment to your troop, family, friends. • In Your Troop • Learn & Discuss LNT, Plan for LNT, Live LNT
