Updated Meeting Schedule WD22 2 3 TBD Mar Feb Apr May June  March: • Tuesday March 4: 3 – 5 pm in Saunders Room 1301 • Tuesday, March 18: 3 – 5 pm in Saunders Room 1301 • Friday, March 21: 2 – 5 pm in Genesee Room at Scottsville Road (limited space) • WebEx and “Open House” format. Limited Demos, but will answer questions and demo based on questions. April & May: • TBD as of now, but will develop a plan by next week. First April meeting will most likely not occur until mid-April. • Need to confirm calendar with testing and other project deliverables.

Review: Overview of Key Features And Workday Report Types Financial Statement Functionality • Formatted, drillable, many answers, fast reports based on financial definitions • Less-formatted, drillable, many answers, flexible reports • Unformatted, detailed, flexible reports Summary / Pivot-Like Reports Detailed / Spreadsheet-like Report • Key Features • Saving your prompt answers (Workday calls this “Saving your Filters”) • This feature allows you to save and recall your prompts very quickly. • Most reports, but not all reports have this feature • One report can answer many questions (recall: View By’s and Drilling) • Required prompts – almost every report has the following prompts • Company • Year • Ledger Accounts / Ledger Account Summary • Overview of Report Types

  9. Review: Financial Statement Functionality Recap Financial Statement Functionality: • This reporting function generates formatted, printable, and drillable financial statement “type” reports. Runs fast and is flexible. • The function produces reports based on Workday Ledger Accounts and pre-defined “Financial Statement Definitions”. • The content of the report depends on the options selected at run time. • One “report” can answer many questions • You’ve seen almost all of it, but there’s still some more to see in future meetings • This functionality will be used to create the top line Financial Statements, the Monthly Ledger Report (this will be showed in future meetings), and some Ledger reports.

Review: Summary of the Reports so far • And Overall: • These really help with practice and learning “the cadence” of Workday. • Practice with prompting, drilling, “viewing by”, and Saving Filters. • You can answer many questions using one report. • Helps to review reports in a “broader approach”. • And, keeps you on the screen in Workday (which will be incorporated into the Broader Approach and the Decision Tree) • Why were these showed first? • FDM Reports – show you how to find FDM elements that you need for basically every report in Workday • Financial Statement Functionality – shows the power of formatted definitions, flexibility in prompting, and powerful drilling capabilities. • Trail Balance and Ledger Detail – shows how Workday views Ledger Account details and provided additional practice with prompting.

Early training – FAO Activity Reports Tip • Search on the word “Activity” to view similar reports See Excel file on UR Financials site (and in email) • FAO Activity Reports • Use this report to view activity by FAO’s by Ledger Accounts, Spend or Revenue Category, and by months. • Note: New prompt of “Book” • Note: There are few different versions of this report. • Drill and use “View Bys”

  14. Early training – FAO Activity Reports View Bys Drill • Remember to use “View By’s” • Remember to Drill ! • Drilling into the Totals will actually bring up the “Detailed Transaction Report” that will be Demo’d next. • Remember you can then export the Details to Excel.

  15. Free Play • Please run the FAO Activity Report. Keep in mind the amount of data – recommendation is to filter by a month. • Performance is being actively addressed by Workday and Project Team. • More detailed reports next.

  17. Early training – Journal Transaction Details (o Small Version) NOTE: This report will be different at Go-Live. The purpose of the demo is to highlight the differences between a Journal Report and a Journal Lines Report See Excel file on UR Financials site (and in email) • Journal Transaction Details (o Small Version) • Use this report to view the detail lines of a Journal. • Note: Use a Journal Number from the previous example. • Note: There are few different versions of this report. • Example: 3-18 Journal Transactions

Early training – Transaction Details by Month Tip • To find Journal Transaction Detail Reports – search on “Transaction” or “Details” or “Journal” See Excel file on UR Financials site (and in email) • Transaction Details by Months [Retest Version of Journal Transaction Details (o Small Version)] • Use this report to review details of a journal.

Free Play • Tie the transactions together – • View the details from the “FAO Activity Summary by Months” • Find an OP by using the “View Bys” • Find a Journal Number by drilling into the data • Enter the Journal Number in the “Find Journals – with Saved Filters” • Enter the Journal Number in the “Journal Transactions Details (o Small Version)

Early training – More detailed Transaction Reports These reports can be used when reviewing Integration feeds (or the Transaction reports reviewed earlier) Note: There is not a direct replacement of the FBD010 or “Daily Diagnostic Report” The replacement can be achieved in two ways: • Run a Transaction Detail report and then extract and Pivot in Excel. • Run a Summary Report and then drill into the transactions. Recommended Reports are the following: • ** Journal Transaction Details (ooo Large Version) • [Note: this will be renamed shortly and an announcement will be made to the users] • ** Count of Journal Lines by Created Date and Journal Sources • [Note: this will be renamed shortly and an announcement will be made to the users] • Journal Source Activity by Months • Ledger Account and Journal Source Activity by Months • Find Journals – with Saved Filters
