  3. Rules: (1) • Invasion game/Team sport • Two teams of 5 players • 10 second rule • 1 point, 2 point, and 3 points: scoring • Amount of time played is unique to the level. • College: 2 halves • High School & Professional: 4 quarters. • Game starts with a tip off.

  4. Fouls: • Personal fouls- (1) • Hitting • Pushing • Slapping • Holding • Illegal pick/screen

  5. Fouls cont.: • Personal fouls- (1) • Charging • Blocking • Flagrant foul • Intentional foul • Technical foul

  6. Violations: (1) • Walking/Traveling • Carrying/Palming • Double dribbling • Held ball • Goaltending • Backcourt • Time restriction

  7. Guards: (2) Point: Shooting: Main shooter Able to come off screens Rebounder • Calls the plays • Brings the ball up • Dribbler

  8. Forwards: (2) Small: Power: Toned/ 2nd tallest Shoot- near basket Inside the key Rebounder • Athletic • Shooter • Able to defend

  14. How to shoot: (3) • Face the basket • Feet shoulder width apart • Place ball in dominant hand • Other hand guide hand • Bend your knees • Push the ball towards the basket • Jump/Follow through

  15. Mini Games: Knock out: Around the world: Spots are placed around the court Must make all them both ways If the first shot is missed Either chance itor Next person goes You will start there when its your turn • Group of people • Shoot from the free throw line • 2 at a time

  17. Mini Games: 3 on 3: Horse: Group of people One shots if made the others must shoot there If not the next person chooses a spot to shoot at If its missed they get a letter • Just like the regular game • 3 on offense and 3 on defense
