  3. I. Workshop Objectives • The objectives of this workshop are to: • Promote further understanding of CDM for the relevant stakeholders that have the potential to reduce greenhouse gases in Cambodia; • Encourage ownership and active participation of concerned stakeholders in CDM; • Generate support from concerned stakeholders; and • Identify issues and opportunity of CDM in Cambodia.

  4. II. Workshop Approach This one-day workshop will use: • Advance distribution of handout materials; • Presentation; • Panel discussion; and • Group discussion.

  5. III. Expected Outputs • Better understanding about CDM by all participants; • More support from policy makers and relevant stakeholders; • Identification of issues and opportunities to participate in CDM; • Recommendations from participants on how to benefit from CDM; and • Production of workshop proceedings.

  6. IV. Participants • Technical officers and policy makers from relevant government ministries/agencies • CD4CDM project staff • Project regional center (Asian Institute of Technology: AIT) • Private sector • NGOs and donor representatives • Financial institutions • Academic institutions • National and international consultants
