Academic System • Student-centred learning • Semesters: Aug-Dec, Jan-June • BA & MA degrees: 3 +2 years • Modularization and continuous evaluation • 60 credits per year • A – F grading system • BA: 180 credits: • A core of 80 credits • MA: builds on the 80 credits • Strong emphasis on internationalisation

Programmes and courses in English • 800 individual courses taught in English • Full credit load per semester: 30 ECTS credits • Credit value per course varies between 5 and 20 ECTS credits • Course codes: combination of letters and numbers • 1000-level: foundation course at bachelor level • 2000- and 3000-level: advanced courses at bachelor level • 4000- and 5000-level: advanced courses at master level • 40 Master's Degree Programmes offered in English • Bachelor’s Degree programmes in Norwegian • Language programmes in a variety of languages
