Old Standards • PO 3. Solve problems involving percentages, ratio, and proportional, including tax, discount, tips, and part/whole relationships.
Common Core Standards • 7.RP.1. Compute unit rates associated with ratios of fractions, including ratios of lengths, area and other quantities measured in like or different units. • 2. Recognize and represent proportional relationships between quantities. • Decide whether two quantities are in a proportional relationship… • Identify the constant of proportionality… • Represent proportional relationships… • Explain what a point on the graph of a proportional relationship means in terms of the situation… • 3. Assignments/Homework: • Math is a subject that requires daily practice to build and retain skills and knowledge. As such, your child will have an assignment daily, with the exception of test days. • (On a test day, there is no assignment or homework.)
