Community Empowerment Guidelines:Implementation • Promoting guidelines • Explore linkages with other Stop TB strategy components, especially with ACSM (ACSM@CL SG) • Guidelines presented at meetings of regional and international relevance • (suggestion: SWOT analysis on community empowerment in regional NTP managers' meetings with presentation of guidelines)

Community Empowerment Guidelines:Implementation • Training • Training for eleven Francophone African countries end November; Anglophone scheduled for spring 2008 • (suggestion: Training of consultants responsible for follow-up of implementation in priority countries • Pool of consultants available to support countries to be identified with Partners • Training through TBTEAM • Event to discuss this and translate into country-level action?)

  6. Community Empowerment Guidelines:Implementation • Practical tools for implementation: • 'Companion Pieces' to ACSM Handbook • Flyer to promote the guidelines • Generic training manual in 2008

  7. Community Empowerment Guidelines:Implementation • Technical assistance • TBTEAM, Stop TB Partnership: ensure ongoing support to countries in coordination with Partners (external review missions etc.) • Support to Regions in following up several priority countries (criteria: HBC, GF recipient, low CDR) with emphasis on putting recording and reporting systems in place • (Suggestion: develop checklist for evaluation for external review missions)
