  3. Lockheed: Camouflaging

  4. Lockheed: After Camouflaging (Ariel View)

  5. If Hell is Not Literal… • Was God joking? • God demonstrated harsh judgment on the wicked in the past. • If the crime must fit the punishment, why did Christ suffer? • If it’s wrong to take a man who lived in disobedience for 5 years and punish him eternally, then it’s wrong to reward eternal life to one who has lived righteously for 5 years.

  6. If Hell is the Imagination of Men… • Then God/Jesus imagined it! (Lk. 16:19-31) • If Bible wrong about Hell, it might be wrong about Heaven! • If Hell not literal then why did David wish to let “death seize them” (his enemies) when they go “alive down into Hell” (Sheol) because of their wickedness (Psa. 55:15)

  7. If Hell is the annihilation of man at death… • Why is Hell is described as a “second death” (Rev. 2:11; 20:6, 14; 21:8)? • Why the resurrection? • “”…there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust. (Acts 24:15)

  8. If Hell is the annihilation of man at death… • Why is Hell is described as a “second death” (Rev. 2:11; 20:6, 14; 21:8)? • Why the resurrection? • The annihilation of God? • Why: • "Hell from beneath is excited about you, To meet you at your coming; It stirs up the dead for you, All the chief ones of the earth; It has raised up from their thrones All the kings of the nations. (Isaiah 14:9 )

  9. If Hell is the annihilation of man at death… • Why is Hell is described as a “second death” (Rev. 2:11; 20:6, 14; 21:8)? • Why the resurrection? • The annihilation of God? • Why (Isaiah 14:9)? • Why didn’t Jesus teach annihilation (Lk. 16:19-31)? • Why: “'I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living." (Matthew 22:32 )

  10. 16:19-31)? • Why (Matthew 22:32)? • Why: "And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life." (Matthew 25:46 )

  11. How Long Will Hell Last (1000 yrs.?) • (“aionios”, ahee-o'-nee-os) which means “perpetual, eternal, forever, everlasting” • "And these will go away into everlasting punishment (Gk. “aionios” - MDM), but the righteous into eternal life (Gk. “aionios” - MDM)." (Matthew 25:46) • God is an “everlasting (Gk. “aionios” - MDM) God” (Rom. 16:26) • The Spirit is an “Eternal (Gk. “aionios” - MDM) Spirit” (Heb. 9:14) • Conclusion: Everlasting punishment will last as long as eternal life, the Eternal Father & the Eternal Spirit!

  12. What is Hell Like? • “Hell” translated from 4 words: • “Sheol” (Heb.) and Gk. equivalent “Hades”, words simply meaning “the place of departed spirits” • “Geenna” or the near equivalent “Valley of Hinnom” • “Tartaroo” : the abode of the angels who sinned and fell.

(Matthew 8:12) • Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues because of the pain. (Revelation 16:10) • Begging For Mercy: “…he cried and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame…” (Luke 16:24-25)

  18. Hell: What Type of Place is it? • A Place of Fiery Torment: • "and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. (Matthew 13:42) • “…hell…the fire that shall never be quenched-…” (Mark 9:43-46) • “…anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:13-15)
