Background information for Bubblr • Pim Pam Pumdeals with virtual communities, interactive projects, new media advertising and interaction design. • Flickr is an image and video hosting website that allows you to manage and share pictures and video. • Tag is a keyword assigned to a piece of information.

  4. Why should you use Bubblr in the classroom? • Encourages reading and writing. • Reinforces key story elements. • Non-threatening for at risk students, English language learners. • Great for visual learners. • Tool for assessment.

  5. How can you use Bubblr in the classroom? • Language Arts: retell a story. • Math: write a math problem. • Social Studies: illustrate classroom rules and consequences. • Science: illustrate science concepts.

  6. Getting started with Bubblr • Log on to http://www.pimpampum.net/bubblr/ • Type in a tag to search for pictures and click go. Pictures will appear and scroll at the top. • Click on one of the pictures and it appears on the strip. • Click on one of the bubbles and drag it to the picture. • Grab the arrow or point on the bubble and drag it to an area on the picture.
