  1. RIVA DEI FRATI • LA RIVA DEI FRATI owes its name to the place where the vineyards are situated: an abbacy forgotten in time on a steep slope, a hill especially ideal for viticulture, exposed to wind and sun, where the true Prosecco grapes improve their fragrance.

  2. We breathe an air of history and legend of Prosecco wine's traditions and innovations. The wine that represents one of the most important products of the Italian culture and wine making.

  5. OUR ROAD…

  6. WHAT IS CARTIZZE? • Superiore di Cartizze is an area of about 100 hectares completely devoted to vineyards in the Prosecco DOCG zone and more precisely in Saccol and Santo Stefano in Valdobbiadene. • This area has been used for the production of Prosecco vineyards for centuries thanks to its sunny position and its rocky soil which produces limited quantities of high quality grapes.

  7. Hail canoon Hail cannon ignites a charge of acetylene gas in a specially designed blast chamber releasing an explosive pressure wave creating a cavitation effect which disrupts the formation process of the hail stone embryo. This is used in our vineyards

  8. HARVEST • The Prosecco area of production stretches out through 15 municipalities that are featured by many hilly areas.

  9. PROSECCO SUPERIORE DOCG

  10. MADE BY HAND • The typical inclination of these hills limit, and at times, make the use of machines practically impossible. For this reason the cultivation of the vines is usually carried out by family-owned wineries that use natural materials, like wooden poles, maintaining unvaried the original landscape.

  11. Improved technology makes so that the final product is at its best. The entire production cycle is carried out in the winery. Here Cesare and Marisa have combined traditions and modern technology with a resulting products with fine characteristics that delight even the palates of the most demanding wine lovers.
