  2. Why Cyclescheme? • Replacing interest free loan to buy a bicycle. • Some shops offered discounts (as TfW discounts). • A short survey - feedback was positive • Greater opportunity for staff savings • Registered shops cover most of Cambridge • Staff still get discounts - not on Cyclescheme.

Employee chooses bike and receives quote Employee completes the request online Eligibility check via email to payroll department Payment made on following payment run Invoice sent by Cyclescheme fortnightly (Friday) Request is approved or declined online Voucher collected and agreement is signed (by supervisor and employee) Email received containing hire agreement Cyclescheme vouchers sent on payment Employee hires the bike for 12 months -can then buy it at fair market value (~5%)

  5. Cyclescheme • Admin time is minimal • The online system is simple • Payroll need to check eligibility and that deductions won’t take below threshold *Absolute Maximum 15 minutes for administrator and around 10 minutes for payroll.

  6. Cyclescheme Safety equipment included on the scheme • Helmets • Bells • Lights, including dynamo’s • Mirrors and mud guards • Locks and chains • Cycle clips, reflective equipment • Panniers, luggage carriers • Pumps, puncture repair kits

  7. Why implement Cyclescheme? The Trust wants encourage healthy lifestyles for their staff, to increase; Health Morale Reduce impacts on the environment Achieve an appropriate level ofCorporate Citizenship

The Trust want to provide mechanisms to maintain the high number of cyclists we have coming to the site and also encourage more staff to start cycling The Trust is committed to reducing single occupancy car use to and from the site as part of the Access to Addenbrooke’s Travel Plan
