  2. What is Prehab? • PREHAB: Rehab before going into surgery.

  3. Consequences of Avoiding Prehab • Athlete can develop atrophy. • (Atrophy: muscle loss) • Avoiding prehab makes rehab after surgery longer and more difficult. • Athlete won’t be mentally or physically prepared for surgery.

  4. Who Should Use Prehab? • Prehab is recommended for all injured athletes that are going in for surgery.

  10. How do you determine when to Prehab? • Talk to your Athletic Trainer! • Come to our Athletic Training Room to get evaluated!

  11. When to Prehab? • Prehab should be performed as much as possible before a surgery. • Come into our Athletic Training Room between 6:30- 7:15 or during your athletic period or also after school

  12. Where to get help with Prehab Program Design • Athletic Trainer • Physical Therapist • Orthopedic Doctor/ Surgeon
