  2. Field • Law Enforcement: Refers to any system by which some members of society act in an organized manner to promote adherence to the law by discovering and punishing persons who violate the rules and norms governing that society.

  3. Jobs of Interest • Police Officer: A warranted employee of a police force. Police officers are generally charged with the apprehension of criminals and the prevention and detection of crime, and the maintenance of public order.

  4. Education Required • Must be at least 21 years old and with a high school diploma. Attend the police academy for at least 3-4 months. You also must pass a police exam to become one.

  5. Salary • Median Salary: The median salary for a police officer is $50,340.

  6. Technology • The technology a police use include walkie-talkies, sat-navs, computers, tasers, guns, and cop cars.
