Higher Education Leadership Academy (AKEPT) • Established in January 2008 • An organization under the Ministry of Education, Malaysia • Is in line with the launching of National Higher Education Strategic Plan (NHESP) - to transform higher education in Malaysia, especially in the area of human capital development. AKEPT’s Objectives • To strengthen the governance and organization of higher education institutions through the provision of training, advisory, and coaching programs designed for senior and middle management to develop effective and strategic leadership talent. • To generate a culture of creative and innovative solutions to the critical issues on leadership in higher education through effective research. • To provide innovation in crafting learning and teaching strategies to improve the quality of learning among students. • To brand AKEPT through regional and international leadership institutions SHAPING MINDS, BUILDING LEADERSHIP
