The Authors’ Licensing and Collecting Society - ALCS • Non-profit, author-owned, not a union • Distributes monies to British authors • Monies from photocopying, cable retransmission, private copying and over 40 other sources in UK and abroad • Over 120,000 British authors of all kinds on the ALCS database • Over 30,000 authors receive ca £10m/year
