Wondering if you are pregnant, let us tell you breast pain can occur for several reasons. The reason can also be your regular bleeding cycle that is causing pain in different body parts. If you or anyone you know is going through underlying symptoms of breast pain, you may consider talking to the experts of Sri Balaji Action Medical Institute. What is the connection between breast pain and pregnancy? Breast pain during pregnancy is a different thing. You may go through breast pain in different situations. It can happen with one or both of the breasts. The pain can also radiate through your armpit or move outward to your arms or legs. Sometimes, females suffer because of the sore breast that causes severe pain and that remains constant throughout pregnancy. The pain may come and go. There are chances of breast pain during the early weeks of pregnancy. It can be dull, or achy at the same time. You may also feel heaviness and swollen boobs. Your skin may also become supersensitive while doing exercise or having sex with your partner. •It may sometimes also become uncomfortable to wear a bra or get in touch with any cloth. The most problematic situation arises when you are a stomach sleeper, the pain can radiate in your whole body and may disturb you overnight. •For many women, nipples can become sensitive to clothing. They can become tender and achy. It can hurt you after it becomes dry after having a shower or while putting on a bra. However, the sensitivity of the nipples often goes away within a few weeks. •For the first trimester of your pregnancy, you may feel fullness and heaviness in your chest area. Despite this, you may also feel tingling sensitivity in the areas around the nipples. •Sharp bra pain can feel like a knife as if someone has stabbed you. It is not common in pregnancy. This type of pain is less common with the symptoms of pregnancy. Why do situations like breast pain during pregnancy happen? Breast pain is often a sign of pregnancy. It may occur during the first or two weeks after conception. Technically, it radiates through your boobs for weeks that may be three or four in numbers. You may also develop sore boobs that are the sensation peak in the first trimester. This happens because your body starts developing hormonal changes. These hormones do their job, and prepare your body for pregnancy or carrying a new life. You may also feel a little hungry.

  2. The hormones start working on preparing your breast for breastfeeding. Blood starts flowing through the area and your boobs may become even larger. You may also develop a big cleavage. This growth is often painful, causes skin irritation, and may become itchy. The hormones of your body start working on the growth of milk-producing glands. They bring growth to the boobs. Breast-related changes in pregnancy Breast pain during pregnancy is not the only thing that happens with you. During your first trimester, you may likewise see blue veins pumping extra blood into your breasts. This may bring a change in the size and shape of your body. You may suffer the following changes in your body: •During the second trimester or between 13-26 weeks, you may notice areolas that mean your nipples may develop a pigmented area that further may appear dark in color. It will continue darkening throughout the second or third trimesters. •You may also feel the changes like tiny bumps and wonder that it goes and comes in intervals. But that is completely normal. This is called Montgomery’s tubercles. These are the oil glands. This helps to lubricate the breast area and prepare it for the task of breastfeeding. It makes the process comfortable and makes you feel good from the inside. •During the second or third trimester, your breast may also start leaking yellowish fluid that is called colostrum. This can be the cause of concern if you are not pregnant. But if you are expecting a baby, it is normal. This is a good sign of a healthy body. Colostrum is an immune- boosting fluid that your baby drinks it secretes before you start producing milk. This is a nutritious fluid that is sometimes called “liquid gold”. It is good for a healthy baby and growth. •You may also feel nipple discharge. It may appear like creamy, yellow, green, or brown fluid. You can warn your partner about your symptoms so that it doesn’t cause any chance of infection. •There can also be chances of bloody nipple discharge. It sometimes results because of the development of milk ducts. But, sometimes it can also be the sign of blocked ducts. So be careful about your body changes and immediately consult a doctor. Is breast pain an early sign of pregnancy? Breast pain is indeed one of the earliest signs of pregnancy. It may appear in intervals or as little as someone is pinching you. It may last till one or two weeks after conception. Breast pain can also be used as an indicator of pregnancy but the change is not always definitive. If you are expecting a baby, you may experience unusual breast pain. You can confirm the same while having your pregnancy test. However, it may be too early for a pregnancy test. It is for sure that it is the early sign of pregnancy and the cause of significant change in your body.
