What Is The Internet ? • The internet is a global system of attached computer networks. • Also is like a network of networks that consists of a variety of things, things that could be private, public, or even academic or business. • The internet also carries an abundance of information resources and services. • The internet has also created many ways to communicate like instant messaging, internet forums, and social networking.

  3. History • The internet was a result of unrealistic thinking by people in the early 1960s who thought it had great potential for sharing info on research and development in scientific and military fields. • A guy named Charley Kline that went to the University Of California Los Angelas, was the first to use the internet trying to connect to the Stanford Research Institute.

  4. The Present Day • The Internet is a unique gateway to a vast wealth of knowledge and information, and its uses are almost unlimited. The World Wide Web is deeply set in our culture and everyday lives. It’s a source of news, facts, and figures; a communication tool that allows millions of us to connect with each other every second of every day; a way to bank, invest, and shop; and also has information about educational and entertainment things that allows people from all around the world to learn about everything they can and have fun doing it.
