Question #1 • Make up your own original pneumonic that will help you remember the difference between cation and anion. • EXAMPLE: Cation starts with a “C”, so does chocolate and chocolate is a positive thing. Anion looks like the word “onion”, I do not like onions so an anion is a negative thing.

  5. Question #2 • True or False? Common names tell the composition of a compound.
