Purpose The purpose of this Webcast is to prepare local educational agency (LEA) CAASPP coordinators and test site coordinators for effective implementation of student accessibility supports for the CAASPP summative assessments.

New for 2015–16 Changes to the Test Operation Management System (TOMS): • Student test settings must be entered for 2015–16, as student test settings from 2014–15 will not be retained • Individualized education program (IEP) / Section 504 plan indicators must be set in the California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS) to access accommodations test setting in TOMS • For students with an IEP, the Primary Disability code must also be set in CALPADS to access accommodations test setting in TOMS
New for 2015–16 For the new California Alternate Assessment (CAA): • Administered one-on-one by Test Examiner • Student may have any instructional support specified in their IEP • Most embedded Universal Tools, Designated Supports, and Accommodations are available for CAA (Few embedded resources not available)
New for 2015–16 • Following embeddedresources are notavailable for CAA : • Braille, closed captioning, American Sign Language, translation glossaries, Spanish stacked translation • Not necessary because: • Test examiner administers test one-on-one and can administer test in language of instruction

CAASPP 2015–16 ISAAP Tool • For selecting and assigning designated supports and accommodations, both embedded and non-embedded • For combining two or more CAASPP ISAAP files to create a single file for upload • May not be appropriate for all situations • May be especially useful for assigning designated supports, such as language supports for English learners
CAASPP 2015–16 ISAAP Tool • Updated CAASPP ISAAP Tool for 2015–16 • Do not use the 2014–15 version of the tool • Ensure that “ISAAP” and “2015–2016” are included in the filename before uploading • Sample filename: SchoolName_ISAAP_2015-2016.xlms • 2015–16 CAASPP ISAAP Tool is available at www.caaspp.org in the “Additional Resources” box
Unlisted Resources • Previously called “individualized aids” • Requires documentation of student’s need through IEP / Section 504 plan • Not available if IEP indicator and disability code or section 504 plan are not set in CALPADS • Request must be made through TOMS
Unlisted Resources • May or may not change the testing construct • Student receives a score • CDE determines if security of test is maintained • CDE determines if test validity is compromised • Will be available in January through TOMS
Unlisted Resources • The LEA CAASPP coordinator or the CAASPP test site coordinator shall make the request on behalf of the LEA a minimum of ten business days prior to the student’s first day of CAASPP testing. • The CDE shall respond to the request within four business days from the date of the electronic transmission.

Unlisted Resources Student’s CALPADS IDEA Indicator must be set to yesalong with a validprimary disability type or Section 504 plan status must be set to yes to activate the “UL Resources” Tab
Unlisted Resources • Student has IEP/504 but not in TOMS • LEA Coordinator updates student information in CALPADS • CALPADS updates TOMS within 24–48 hours • LEA Coordinator adds accommodations in TOMS student test settings in the morning and the accommodations will available for testing that afternoon

Unlisted Resources • Once submitted, the CDE and Requestor will receive a single e-mail with all submitted request(s) for Unlisted Resources that will also include the Case Number for the Unlisted Resources • If providing additional documentation to unlisted request, use the assigned Case Number in subject line and send to ACCESSIBILITY@cde.ca.gov.
Unlisted Resources • Once Unlisted Resource Request is approved or denied, the LEA will receive an e-mail that includes the status of their request • The CDE will respond within four business days of submission
