  9. The overarching goal of Valley Mental Health’s Children’s Services is to help youth overcome their illness, so they can successfully move forward with the rest of their lives. We provide treatment options within your community which will be driven by your family’s needs. We place priority on keeping families together, and clients in their homes, school and communities, whenever possible. Our program focuses on utilization of both traditional and non-traditional treatments to stabilize clients and promote recovery. We will “meet the child and family wherever they are” to thoroughly assess the unique needs of children and their family rather than attempting to fit them into available programs or services. Our clients will be provided services that are culturally sensitive and responsive, regardless of race, religion, sex, political affiliation, social or economic status, or lifestyle. We will continue to develop and implement scientifically proven prevention and treatment services for children with mental health needs.
