  3. Nelson Mandela was born on July the 18th 1918. He was born in South Africa in a small village called Qunu.

  4. Nelson Mandela was 9 years old when his father died. He wore nothing but a blanket so he had to wear his dads trousers. He went to school at the age of 9 years old.

  5. Nelson Education When nelson was a younger boy he got separated from black people.

  6. Nelson's Anc Nelson Mandela met Walter Sisulu and he join the ANC and that stands for the African National Congress.

  7. Nelson 1962's life In 1962 Nelson was arrested and charged because he was encouraging black people to strike.

  8. Nelsons sentened In 1964 Nelson Mandela was sentenced for life and he was sent to Robben Island off the coast of Cape Town and held there until April 1982.

  9. Nelsons Move • December 1988 Nelson was moved to Victor Verster prison near Paarl.

  10. Nelson's arrested • Nelson was arrested and kept in prison until he was released on 11 February 1990.

  13. Retirement • Nelson and his international community the Tusi and Husi singed a peace agreement in 2000.
