High Level Goals • What do we want to accomplish for Azerbaijan • Short term goals (1-2 years) 2011-2012 • Launch the national fair • Enable min. 50 projects & 80 Sts • Min. 1 finalist on the international level • Long term goals (3-5 years) • Increase the number of Sts’ number by 3 times in 3 Ys • Enable school fairs • Provide transformation in education reg. STEM (Science, Technologies, Engineering & Mathematics), implement science inquiry in secondary schools • Institutionalize management of science fairs and science programs for secondary schools • Improve scientific review and judging

Objectives • Measures of Success • Student participation in a new affiliated fair will be not less than 80 and will increase at least 3 times over a three-year period • Volunteers/mentors increases 2 times during the 2014-2015 school year • Systemic curriculum changes underway; 1000 teachers trained in Project Based Learning (or Inquiry research) or new curriculum adopted • Ministry of Education will allocate financial resources for science fair • School Science Fair started • Min 1-2 finalists will be sent to Intel ISEF per year
