  2. We all want to lose weight at one time or another in our lives. But, sometimes it is hard to set up and stick to a full diet plan. However, there are easy changes you can make that will add up to a substantial weight loss over time.

  3. Here are some painless ways to eat better and lose weight without committing to a complicated diet program.

  4. First, get in the habit of drinking water throughout your day. This will keep you hydrated and help you feel less hungry. Another way to add hydration and nutrients to your meals is to begin each meal with a bowl or cup of broth.

  5. You will feel full and eat less with this totally painless addition. So, stay hydrated and use water or broth to enhance your meals and stay satisfied.

  6. We all know that carbohydrates need to be reduced if we want to lose weight and keep it off. So, commit yourself to cutting back on as many carbohydrates as possible.

  7. Eat no more than two small servings a day of bread or starchy vegetables, rice or cereals. This is a tried and true method for weight loss which will feel quite natural after a week or two.

  8. Make the bulk of your diet protein, fats and non-starchy vegetables. Eat chicken, beef, pork, fish or soy products for your protein requirements.

  9. It sounds counterintuitive, but the more you limit fat intake, the more your body holds on to the fat you have already accumulated. So, don't be afraid to add moderate amounts of butter, olive oil or margarine to your foods.
