The VineMan.org project aims to develop innovative cropping systems for organic vineyards in Europe, focusing on disease management, yield efficiency, and biodiversity enhancement. By integrating plant resistance, cropping practices, and biocontrol agents, the consortium will work to improve disease control, reduce mycotoxin contamination, and increase microbial biodiversity while minimizing environmental impact. The project involves designing, evaluating, and developing cropping systems through a cycle of assessment and adjustment. Testing will be based on plant resistance, disease models, biocontrol agents, and canopy management, with recommendations for end-users including specific techniques like leaf removal and treatment scheduling.
