Informative: Companion motion approved unanimously by 802.18, 802.11, 802.15, and 802.16.   5. 802.18 Motion to EC Date: 11/14/2003 Motion by: 802.18 - Stevenson Seconded by: Moved: To authorize 802.18’s approved internal motion to establish a Study Group to address sharing of unused TV broadcast spectrum by unlicensed devices, to develop a PAR and 5 criteria, and in the course of its study to develop and provide information useful to 802.18 in preparing a Petition for Rulemaking for submission to the FCC on this subject. The intention would be to review the Study Group’s progress at the March 2004 IEEE 802 plenary and determine at that point if an extension is warranted. Informative: This matter is something that the FCC has shown great interest in and we have previously filed comments/reply comments in a NOI and are filing further comments on the matter in a current proceeding.
