Problem with VELA light curve

Dave reported that the pulsar light curves look ragged. Try to reproduce the seen effect: I downloaded VELA data from GSSC > Select all photons within a 1 deg radius around VELA I corrected the photon arrival times with gtbary I computed the pulsar phase with gtpphase

Dave reported that the pulsar light curves look ragged. • Try to reproduce the seen effect: • I downloaded VELA data from GSSC • > Select all photons within a 1 deg radius around VELA • I corrected the photon arrival times with gtbary • I computed the pulsar phase with gtpphase • The fits file was exported with fv to a .txt file and I used ROOT to plot the data.
