  1. MC Production ADC Weekly 17 December 2013 Claire Gwenlan, Wolfgang Ehrenfeld, Jose Enrique Garcia Navarro

  2. MC production status: Grid MC11 and MC12 + Group Production Lack of requests

  3. Number of processed events simulation digi+reco • sim (last week): 97M events; (mc12_8TeV: 44M, mc11_7TeV:34M)  14M/day • digi+reco (last week): 185M events (mc12_8TeV: 84M, mc11_7TeV: 98M)  26M/day

  4. Xmas Break • Standard Requests : • Tasks for the Xmas period are still arriving. Date limit for the request is Thursday, by Thursday we will know all samples and number of events. Do not expect large requests • Checking what is coming and what we know the amount could be around 70 – 100 M • pre-DC14 campaign : • Validation of simulation release for the pre-DC14 is still ongoing. Decision will be taken on Thursday. This validation includes multicore. • Plan is to use multicore for these pre-DC14 requests. • We have an estimate of events that will be requested : • 80 M signal samples • 70 M single particles • In addition we will need to generate also the pileup (10M + 10M) samples which will need to be distributed. Normal production rate is around : 20 M/day (sim) and 20 M/day (pile) If the total amount is around 250 M, we would be finished in less than couple of weeks. We will know more details on Friday.
