  3. All tools should have a proper storage location to protect them from loss or damage • Clean and return them after use

  4. Never leave tools on the floor where they will become a trip hazard • Never leave tools hanging over the edge of a bench where they could fall – see above

  5. Replace worn or damaged tools immediately • Use tools only for their intended purpose and use them properly • Only use chisels, knives or blades that are sharp. Never use blunt tools

  6. Files should not be used as pry bars – they are very brittle • Never stand behind anyone swinging a hammer – stand to the side
