  • Develop a framework for the Implementation of Allied Health Assistant (AHA’s) Training and Development into CM Health using the Careerforce National Certificate in Health, Disability, and Aged Support (Health Assistants) (NZQA Level 3)

Education pathway-AHA (Trainee)

  • 72 -73 credits to achieve the Level 3 Certificate
  • 15 Papers (work books) – 8 compulsory units = 40 credits
  • mum of 22 Credits from set 1 and 2
  • Duration – 13 months to complete qualification

Education pathway-AHP (Assessor)

  • Assessors are qualified and industry experienced experts who work with trainees
  • Assessors oversee the formal assessment process, and provide mentoring,  within their own workplace.
  • Attend a 2 day training , Ratio 1 : 6
  • Marking –40-60 min per assessment (marking work book, observing practice, or oral presentation)

  • Allied Health Assistants clinically supervised by Allied Health professionals; the supervisor and supervisee understand the assistants’ tasks, responsibilities and accountabilities
