  2. Mission Statement • To work with student volunteers to provide high quality, colorful pillow cases to children who can use a little comfort when they need it most.

  3. Co-Founders

  4. Objective • To mobilize students across the area to volunteer their time in order to make pillow cases that can be distributed to local hospitals including UNCand Ronald McDonald house.

  5. Cases for Kids • Help make pillow cases to donate to children in our local hospitals! • Here’s how: • Pick fun, colorful, youthful fabrics at your local fabric store • Pillowcases needed for toddlers to teenagers, boys and girls. • When you/ your group have completed the pillow cases we will collect and distribute them to area hospitals!

  6. Some examples:

  7. Why the drive? Goal Every day, children are admitted to local hospitals with a life threatening disease. The first time my brother and I donated pillowcases, the doctor told us about how much the kids appreciate the pillowcases even to just pick one out brings comfort to these frightened children. Cases for kids has already received over 125 pillowcases through previous efforts and our goal is to make an additional 125 pillowcases from help of organizations like the FCCLA.

  8. How can FCCLA help? There will begin to have training sessions (date to be determined) where we will be teaching how to make pillowcases. Soon after, smart lunches will be used for pillowcase sessions where you can make pillowcases. The sessions will have specific jobs for example, cutters, so if you don’t know how to sew you can cut and vise versa.

  9. THANK YOU!!!!
