Read Chapter 8 4. Chapters 1-8 Reading Quiz 5. Chapter 9 = HOME WORK!

  2. Wednesday – March 16, 2011 1. Score Oracle Letter • Annotate the elements that are present • (CTA, Opposition, Refutation, Etc!!) • assess the essay using the rubric discuss and defend as a class 2. Okonkwo’s Family Tree 3. Read Chapter 10

  3. Okonkwo’s Family Tree • Draw a graphic organizer to create Okonkwo’s family tree. • Write in each relative’s name. Under each character’s name, list two facts about him or her. Add additional boxes and connecting lines as needed. • Writing Prompt: After you have completed the family tree, write a paragraph that answers the following question: • How does Achebe’s portrayal of Okonkwo’s family relationships make Okonkwo a sympathetic and unsympathetic character? Provide 2 detailed examples to support your thinking.
