  1. Did You Know? • The table salt you buy is usually not pure NaCl. It often contains small amounts of finely divided insoluble substances such as silicates or complex salts of aluminum. Particles of these materials stick to the cubic NaCl crystals & keep them from clumping together in high humidity. In addition, much table salt is iodized& contains small amounts of KI, which provides dietary iodine for proper thyroid function.
