  2. Please read the story and see the words in action • Imposing – impose means to place a burden or force oneself upon another. Imposing means making an impression of one’s size or strength • Diminutive – adjective – means very small or diminishing • Attire – your fashion or clothing • Provoke – to stir up some feeling in someone. Usually negative meaning. • Tyrant – cruel absolute ruler • Do Brain Tickler 17 with your group

  3. Acknowledge – admit or recognize • Literal – Means actual or factual – Means actually twice the size • Exert – means to use or apply – physically or entally • Intimidate – means to frighten or scare • Inflict – means to give or cause by striking. Causing damage • Do Brain Tickler # 18

Last words for today • Vile – something so unpleasant as to seem evil – “watch your vile mouth” • Humiliate – someone is to put that person down, to disgrace him • Succumb – means to give in or surrender • Mute – means to be silent – Mute button anyone? • Conform – means a person will follow the rules and customs of a given place.   5. Homework • Write a story: What, when, how, when, where, why about your MT or weekend. 2 paragraphs; 10 sentences • You have to study vocabulary, as a group! Use notecards and I will show you my app. • Economic Union – Look up stereotypes of Asian Americans in America, Look up “The Model Minority”, Look up Asians in Ivy-League schools, Look up average income of Americans by race….and get ready to watch a movie next week.
