CVMFS Deployment Update. • New CERN IT Stratum Zero service live. • All Stratum 1s now using this stratum zero. • Incident over Xmas break. • RAL had not been advised to migrate to IT stratum zero before xmas. • PH stratum failed at new year. • RAL migrated to IT Stratum one at this point. • SLS probe now being developed to check stratum one consistency. • IT maintained CVMFS install machines: • A new cvmfs server update was installed within CERN IT just before xmas. • The update addressed some requirements for running within IT. • Testing underway.   7. Middleware Requirements • DEADLINE 15 January • To submit new middleware requirements by January 15 2012. The call for requirements concerns all the deployed middleware stacks that are currently supported in EGI - ARC, gLite, GLOBUS and UNICORE. • To EGI, directly or through your NGI. GDB Chair • Process: • Search committee of 4 national members of the GDB • Ask for proposals for candidates • Candidates don't have to be members of the GDB • Term as chair is 2 years, can be extended by 2 year periods • Proposed timescale: • Find the search committee by January GDB • Accept proposals until March • Vote in the March GDB • Hand over in May (or by agreement) • Now: • Search committee - myself, John, + 2 volunteers! (please !) • You can already propose candidates for the chair to me...
