Honors Calendar • We have shared the Honors Google Calendar with all Honors students • Click the link in the email to add it to your Google calendar. • You can add the calendar through the Google Calendar app on your phone as well. • The Honors website also features a calendar widget. • Dates and locations are subject to change.

Senior Project Info for Seniors • Senior Project Advisor Email Check-In – January 30th • Senior Project Optional Meeting - February 6th, 10am-12pm, Honors Lounge • Seniors should fill out the required questionnaire by February 8th. • Workshop for Conference and Symposium Presenters – March 27th • Project Completion – March 11th

  7. Senior Project Info for Seniors • Honors Symposium is Wednesday, April 3rd • All Honors students are welcome to attend • All Senior Project Forms and information can be found on the Honors Documents page

  8. Current Juniors • Senior Project Proposal Form and related paperwork due Tuesday, May 1st • Please begin seeking out an advisor and reader now. • We strongly recommend Juniors attend the Symposium and the Honors Networking Dinner.

  9. Honors Students Requirements • 2 General Meetings per Year • 2 Academic Events per Year • Symposium • Honors Conferences • Honors Networking Dinner • Honors Alt. Spring Break • Mental Health and Wellness Event • Symposium/Conference Presenter Workshop • Family Day (Fall) • Lunch with a Professor (Fall) • Alumni Panel (Fall) • 10 Civic Engagement Hours Please Sign In at Every Event!

NCHC & Conference Information • National Collegiate Honors Council Conference: November 6-10, 2019 in New Orleans, LA. • A great experience, travel excursion, and way to get involved in the Honors Program. • Dr. Root must approve your 300 word abstract, to be submitted to the online link by February 20th. • Visit nchchonors.org for details.

  11. Conference Selection Criteria • Proposal should be based on completed research. • The proposal abstract should meet all of the guidelines of the conference and be free from grammatical errors. • Research previously presented at another Honors conference cannot be submitted for a second time. • Priority will be given to Juniors and Seniors who have never attended a conference.

  12. Scholarships • Scholarship Deadline - March 1st • Century 21 Scholarship – for minority students to study abroad • Hiden Scholarship – Students with financial need to study abroad or for academic research • Deadline to submit study abroad application for Summer or Fall 2019 is March 1st • In order to be eligible for study abroad scholarships, applications must be submitted to Roukema Center • Visit https://www.ramapo.edu/scholarships/

Important Deadlines • Senior Project Advisor Email Check-In – January 30th • Senior Questionnaire Deadline – February 8th • Executive Board Applications due – February 18th • HDG Applications due - February 18th • NCHC Proposals due – February 18th • Peer Facilitator Applications due -February 20th • Scholarship Deadline – March 1st • Study Abroad Application Deadline – March 1st • Senior Project Deadline – March 11th • Senior Project Proposals due from Juniors – May 1st

  16. HDG Leaders and Peer Facilitators • HDGs should be well into Community Service project planning by now. • We will need 14-16 HDG leaders next year. • Deadline for Applications is February 18th. • Peer Facilitators applications are available February 4th and due February 20th • The Honors Program will interview for Honors Peer Facilitators in March. • The Honors Program will interview for a new Student Aide position in April.
