Curricula development Up to and of 2010: - Developed 194 sets of framework curriculum for 194 occupations (for both intermediate and diploma levels) - Framework curricula are developed based on Skills standards of each occupation - Skills standards of each occupation are developed based on occupation analysis towards demand driven

Testing and certification • Vocational Institutions are implementing tests and providing training certificate or diploma for students by training levels • At national level: implementing national skills tests and providing National Skill Certificate for examinees • (5 National Skills Grades: 1,2,3,4,5)

  11. Accreditation • Carrying accreditations for all vocational institutions based on institution program (teachers, curricula, facilities…) in the pilot test • Criteria are developed based on teacher standards, facilities standards, training curricula… • As of December 2010, 76 vocational training institutions have been accredited, 53 institutions have been recognized

  12. Skill labor force up to 2020 • Population 99 million • Labor force 57.5 million (agriculture 30%; Industry 32%; services 38%) • 55% labor force are skill laborers

  13. Programs for TVET up to 2020 • Program on VT for Rural laborers (approved by P. Minister, 2010-2020; 26,000 billion dong, 1,000,000 rural laborers will be trained each year) • Program on VT for solders after army services (Approved by P. Minister; national budget provide fund based on orders) • Program on TVET renovation up to 2020 (submitted to P. minister) • TVET Strategy 2011-2020
