  5. Hike It is important to: Finish the hike and so achieve the task. Be aware of the needs of each individual. • What is their experience? • Do they have any useful skills e.g navigation • Are there any physical issues? • What is the correct pace taking account of the individuals involved?

  6. Hike (cont.) Ensure the scouts work together as a group. • No splitting up with the strong ones leaving the weaker ones behind. • Use the skills of the group to get everyone there. • Group motivation important. • Encourage them to work together as a team and support one another

  10. Task – Balloon Chair 2 • Using what you learned the first time, spend 10 minutes planning how you can make the ‘best’ chair using only the materials given. Be prepared to justify why your chair is the best. • Using the materials provided you have 10 minutes to create your chair.
