  2. Purpose To provide an overview of: • the After School for All Partnership (A.S.A.P.) • the process used to select and assign program providers to elementary and middle schools • the status of After School programs St. Louis Public Schools

Background • The After School for All Partnership – the regional umbrella organization for After School programs. • The various funding streams • The desire for high quality programs in the elementary and middle schools • The program provider application, vetting and assignment process • The need to understand the impact on academic achievement St. Louis Public Schools

Current Situation • 53 programs in elementary and middle schools • Fourteen 21st Century funded (6 SLPS/ 8 partner operated) • 32 A.S.A.P. funded • 7 sites funded through other partners (YMCA, BJC, UrbanFUTURE) • Licensing • Typical Day • Total # of students as of October 1st – 2,903 • Total # of slots – 3,515 (recruitment continues) • Total percentage of slots filled 77% • 25 programs began first day of school • 28 programs began September 14th • After School Liaison Position • Pre-Post Tests • Curriculum Alignment • Transportation • Evaluation St. Louis Public Schools
