  2. 21.18.030 Periodic Review “To assist in the assessment of the effectiveness of KPB Chapter 21.18, the river center shall provide an annual permit and activity report to the planning commission. This report shall include statistical analysis of permit activity and trends, commentary on river and land use issues and trends and any other information that may assist in furthering the management of borough water resources and riparian habitat.”

  8. Permit Activity • Other 2012 Permit Activity: • Variances – 2 variance applications & approvals • Mining Notifications – 26 notifications were mailed • Permit Amendments – 13 modifications to permits • Time Extensions – 18 approved requests • Total 2012 permit activity = 229

Other Activities:21.18 – Code Compliance Violations reported/found, 2012 = 25 Number GRC & CCO are working on together = 7 Number that CCO has lead = 9 Number that GRC has lead = 3 Number referred to other Agencies = 6 Violations resolved, 2012 = 4 Violations scheduled for 2013 resolution = 10 Violations still in progress = 5

  11. Other Activities:Code Changes & Proposed Changes Ordinance 2011-12 – implemented on January 1, 2012 for waters on the west side of Cook Inlet; scheduled for all other waters on August 1, 2013. Number of anadromous waters regulated increased in 2012 from 24 to 348 water-bodies. Participation with “Anadromous Fish Habitat Protection Task Force” Improved mapping
