  17. The MERCY/GRACE of God • God’s love is demonstrated in his grace and mercy toward his people. • The mercy of God is the love of God applied to our suffering. (Mic. 7:18-19) • Tender compassion toward the needy. (Ex. 3:7; Mt. 9:27; Heb. 4:16) • Strong comfort for the suffering. (Ps. 86:3-6; 2 Cor. 1:3-4) • Deep concern for the hurting. (Zech. 7:9-10; Jude 21-23)
