  4. Daily Class Materials • Calculator (scientific) • Paper • Pencils/Pens/Eraser • Notebook (may be shared with another class) • Lab notebook (composition book preferred) • All notes & assignments

  5. Grading Procedures • Summative Assessments 43% • Unit Tests- 37% • Project – 6% • Classroom Assessments 35% • Reinforcement Activities- 10%, • Labs- 15% • Quizzes- 10% • Interim (Midterm) 2% • Final 20%

  7. Attendance & Make Up Work • Students should: • see me to get make up work. • see me if there are any questions. • Students have 5 days to complete work after being absent.

  8. LATE WORK POLICY • Late work IS accepted. • 10 points off for each day late • No credit after 5 days late (This is a school-wide policy)

  9. Intervention & Re-Test • If unsuccessful on a unit test your child can: • Attend intervention after school for help/review of material. • Re-take up to TWO tests. • Must attend INTERVENTION in order to RE-TEST. • Remediation must take place within 10 days of the test and retest before the next unit test.

  10. Preparing for Tests • Study the Review Guide. • Study notes and handouts given in class. • Complete all practice sheets. • Ask questions and seek extra help immediately as needed.

  11. Should I Expect Homework Daily? • On-going homework is to study the unit notes and handouts daily. • Most written homework consists of: • Assignments started in class but not finished. • Lab write-ups • One homework set per week
