  1. 2008-2009 PRESENTED TO: Bobby Bitner, Media Director, HC&B Healthcare Comm. Kim Carpenter, Account Director, HC&B Healthcare Comm. PRESENTED BY: Entercom-Austin August 14, 2007

  2. Continued Partnership • “You may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if you don't try.” • - Beverly Sills • Entercom Austin radio cannot express enough appreciation for Scott & White Health Plan partnering with us to deliver a message of Balance to our community, and look forward to continuing that partnership for years to come as the program grows and evolves. • With Scott & White Health Plan as the Health Care expert, and Entercom Radio as the vehicle to deliver life changing messages, together we can make the necessary impact to help women throughout Central Texas.

  3. 2008 Concept March 31, 2008 – March 28, 2009 • Partnership Goals: • Continue to push the grassroots movement educating women about the importance of creating a life of BALANCE and WELLNESS – with their jobs, family, health, exercise, finance and general well being. • Evolve the marketing plan to include 2007 anchor resources, while implementing new ideas created in partnership with HC&B to assist Scott & White Health Plan in helping women make the necessary changes in their lives that will help create their life of BALANCE. • Concept: • As a reminder, the marketing strategy will relay the BALANCE message through the following integrated marketing elements: • On-air • Online • On-site • Database marketing • Cause marketing • Blogging • The core of the program will continue to lean on two of Austin’s strongest female driven media outlets, Mix 94.7 & Majic 95.5., with targeted female delivery from Talk 1370am as well.

  4. On-air • BALANCEVIGNETTES • Entercom’s creative department will continue to work with HC&B to customize :30 and :60 commercials for the BALANCE message, featuring Scott & White Health Plan as the Title sponsor of the program. • :60 vignettes with :15 to explain the BALANCE program, :15 of an everyday woman explaining how she has implemented balance in her life, :20 for the Scott & White Health Planmessage, and :10 recognizing supporting sponsors. • :30 vignette’s will also be created with :10 explaining the BALANCE message, :15 dedicated to the Scott & White Health Plan, and :05 recognizing supporting sponsors. • STATION VIGNETTES 2 WEEKS PER MONTH • MAJIC 95.5, MIX 94.7 & Talk 1370am will each provide: • 8x :60 commercials per week rotating in Prime dayparts. • 8x :30 commercials per week, rotating M-SU 6am-12mid. • 10x :60 commercials per week, with copy of Scott & White Health • Plan’schoice (I.e. standard commercial copy). Spots will rotate M-Su • 5a-2a. • ** As in 2007, Entercom-Austin will look for weeks where commercial inventory might go unsold on each radio station in order to further the impact of the on-air Balance message. This is at no additional charge to Scott & White Health Plan.

  5. On-air • SUNDAY MORNING BALANCE • To further enhance the on-air presence of the Balance Program, KKMJ and KAMX are proposing to create an hour of ‘commercial free’ Balance music, every Sunday morning, throughout the annual campaign, underwritten exclusively by Scott & White Health Plan. • Essentially, both stations would eliminate all commercials from 8am-9am on Sunday mornings, but note at the top and bottom of the hour that “this hour of Balance music is brought to you by the kind support of Scott & White Health Plan…insert tagline here.” • Through www.balanceaustin.com, the station’s will solicit suggested tracks and/or portions of albums to play during this hour of commercial free music. We can make it fun by suggesting “if you were stranded on a desert island, what songs or albums would you require to stay mentally balanced?” Upon airing of these suggested songs or albums, each station will recognize a listener as the person who suggested these “balance tracks.” • Scott & White Health Plan will receive: • Exclusive sponsorship of commercial free Sunday Morning Balance music • on KKMJ and KAMX. • Minimum of 2x mentions per hour (with tagline), per station, recognizing • Scott & White Health Plan as the exclusive sponsor of Sunday Morning • Balance.

  6. Online • BALANCEAUSTIN.COM • Entercom Radio will continue to work on, and upgrade, the balanceaustin.com website on a regular basis. The site is linked from, and featured prominently on www.majic.com, www.mix947.com (below) and www.talk1370am.com through 300x250 pixel homepage banners. This ‘microsite’ will continue to serve as a hands-on resource for women in our community to find information on relevant topics such as: • Family and Relationships • Diet & Fitness • Career & Finance • Wellness • Volunteer Work • And more…

  7. Online PODCASTING Podcast interviews with well known Texas women who share secrets of how they create BALANCE in their lives will continue to play a major part of the Balance program. 2007 Podcasts have included Roxanne Wilson (from “The Apprentice” tv show fame), Michelle Valles, KXAN News Anchor, and Melinda Maine Garvey, founder of Austin Women’s Magazine, among others. Podcasts are available for downloading, or simply listening, on the balanceaustin.com website. In 2008, Entercom Austin is exploring the idea of storing balanceaustin.com podcasts on website podcasting libraries, specifically in self-help sections (I.e. iTunes, Napster, etc.).

  8. Online • STREAMING WITH • BANNER LINK • CAPABILITIES • Streaming commercials for the Balance Program itself, as well as Scott & White Health Plan, air on all three station websites, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for the duration of the campaign. In 2008, this will include an upgrade in the total number of commercials Scott & White Health Plan will receive (9,000 total, up from 7,200 in 2007). • 9,000x TOTAL :60 streaming commercials, or a minimum • of 250x :60 streaming commercials per month, dedicated to • the BALANCE PROGRAM (same copy as :60 ‘Vignette’s’) • on www.majic.com, www.mix947.com, and • www.talk1370am.com. • 9,000x TOTAL :60 streaming commercials, or a minimum of • 250x :60 streaming commercials per month for Scott & • White Health Plan on all three station websites. This could • be commercial copy created by HC&B promoting the various • Health Plan opportunities Scott & White provides. • Banner link capabilities back to the balanceaustin.com • website during BALANCE streaming commercials, and a • Scott & White Health Plan banner link back to • www.swhp.org during Scott & White Health streaming • commercials.

  9. Online Balance eNewsletter In an effort to further reach women for creating a life of balance, one component Entercom-Austin and HC&B created in 2007 that will continue to be an integral part of the overall Balance message, is a newsletter sent to a Balance program specific email database. In 2007, Entercom-Austin devoted weekly Live :10 (Mix) and :15 (Majic) commercials encouraging listeners to go to balanceaustin.com and sign up for the Balance eNewsletter. If listeners sign up, they are offered the chance to win free concert tickets, spa packages, etc. Database marketing continues to become an integral part of reaching today’s consumer. And with the Balance program acting as a proprietary entity that women engage with, building a database is crucial to the livelihood and success of this program

  10. Online JB & Sandy Balance Balance Blog JB Sandy Digitz Autumn For eleven years, JB & Sandy have been waking up Austin every morning, Monday – Friday, from 6am-10am. Their show is consistently ranked as one of the top Morning radio programs with women in Central Texas, so what better way to further spread the Balance message than through a weekly blog from these legendary Austin hosts! JB & Sandy feel so strongly about the Balance program, they have offered to lend their insights from guests and callers for the Balance program. Entercom-Austin will build out a blog on the www.balanceaustin.com microsite where representatives from the show will update the blog weekly. Representatives from the show, including Producer “Digitz” and sidekick Autumn, will update the blog with candid observations from their world on how to better create Balance.

  11. On-Site BALANCE STREET TEAM In coordination with Scott & White Health Planand supporting sponsors, Entercom will continue to implement a BALANCE street team, uniformed with the quarterly Balance t-shirts. This guerilla marketing concept will be implemented monthly at various Mix, Majic & Talk station appearances around Austin and Central Texas. This uniformed team will deliver materials about the BALANCE website, targeting women where they work, live, and spend leisure time. Each station will incorporate Balance into monthly station appearances as opposed to quarterly in 2007. WOMEN’S FAIR – PREMIERE SPONSOR In 2008 at the Palmer Events Center, Entercom-Austin (Majic, Mix, and 1370 Talk) will again unite to provide thousands of women in Central Texas a chance to shop, sample products, observe cooking demonstrations, enjoy personal makeovers, sample food, and even meet celebrity guests! As the Title Sponsor of the Balance Program, Scott & White Health Plan will automatically qualify as a “PREMIERE” sponsor of this event. BALANCE 5K RUN To bring even more exposure to the Balance program in 2008, Entercom Austin proposes to host a 5K fun run in honor of the Balance program. Entry fees to the race will benefit a women’s charitable organization. Entercom will facilitate the entire fun run in honor of Balance and Scott & White Health Plan.
