J’arrive au collège Je Je mange à la cantine Le collège commence à 8 heures MAKE SURE THAT ALL THIS VOCABULARY IS IN FRENCH AND IN ENGLISH IN YOUR BOOK !!! Je

  4. PRACTICE! Read the sentences, decide which person goes with which sentence.

  5. PRACTICE! Read the text and answer the questions in English in your book. At what time does he get up? ………….. What does he do after he showered? …… What does he do before finishing his homework? ……………………………. At what time does he go out he house? …………… Does he go by car? Yes / No? What is your score? Compare your answers with a friend

  6. Reflexive verbs: These are normal verbs, which need an extra bit when used. For example: Se lever = to get up BUT when used: Je melève = I get up (which can be translated literally by: I get myself up) Tutelèves = you get up Il / elleselève = he/she gets up Other verbs follow the same patern: Secoucher = to go to bed S’habiller = to get dressed ( je m’habille – I get dressed) Se laver = to get washed Seréveiller = to wake up TO COPY IN YOUR BOOK!

  7. PRACTICE! Translate the following sentences in French! (copy in your book) I get up at 7 o’clock He wakes up at 6 o’clock I have my breakfast then I get dressed You go to bed at 10:30 GRADE BOOSTER! Don’t forget to use some linking words : Et puis = and then Puis= then Après = after Ensuite = after TO COPY IN YOUR BOOK!

  8. Your Task! Now, using the different sentences that you have seen and the examples, write a paragraph about your daily routine. You must write as much as you can! TOP TIP! Use different tenses! (grade C!!) Hier, je me suislevé(e) à… yesterday I got up at… Ce weekend je vais me lever / me coucher à… this weekend I am going to get up / to go to bed at… • Remember to use linking words ! • Remember to use time or moment in the day (EG: le matin= in the morning, l’après-midi = in the afternoon, le soir= in the evening) • Remember to use words like : d’habitude = usually, normalement = normally, quelquesfois= sometimes WORK IN YOUR BOOK! Peer assess each other as you go!
