  6. Thecapital city of Slovakia – Bratislava Capital city of Slovak republicisproudforitshistory, butalsoforitscultural-historicallandmarks. Itissituated in thesouth-westof Slovakia stretches on bothbanksoftheDanube and in thefoothillsoftheLittleCarpathianMts. Thisstrategicallyimportantplace has oftenplayed a big role in thehistoryofcentralEurope. The most attractive part of Bratislava istheOldTownwherethe most historicalsightsaswellasculturalinstitutions are concentrated. Itstinylanesofferanidealatmosphereforromanticwalks to thosewho love to followsignsofhistory in themiddleofmodernworld. Thesignificantstructures in thehistoric centre ofthe city are allpartsofthe Monument TownReserve.

  7. Bratislava Castle Dominantof Bratislava – Bratislava Castle lies on castle-hill, 85 metersabovewaterlevelofDanuberiver. Itshistoryreaches 11thcentury. Itcontainsexhibitionsof Slovak NationalMuseum. I havealsovisitedbeautifuldominantof Bratislava, whichevokes table turned over.

  8. Ourwalk to kindergarden´ssurrounding. Slavin Slavinismemorialdevoted to Soviet Soldiers, deceasedduringWorldWars II. on areaof Western Slovakia. Itistheonlyoperatingarmycemetery in Bratislava. Itwasbuilt in 1957 – 1960. Slavinwaspronounced a Nationalculturallandmark.

  9. „Presporacik“ Ifwe are tired, wecantake a ridewithpopularvehicle „Presporacik“ aroundOldCity´slandmarks.

  10. OldTown TodaysTownhallappearanceisresultofitsarchitecturaldevelopment, whichwasmarkedwithstructurechanges and rebuildingsfrom 14thcenturyuntilpresentday. Yourwillbeimpresed by beautifulrenaissancearcades on forecourt. Youcanhavesome rest on square in front ofTownhallallyearlong. ThatiswhereChristmasmarkettakesplaceeveryyear. Wewarmourselveswith hot tea, served by handicappedpeople.

  12. 22 PresidentialPalace Splendidrococopalacewithdecorative park wasbuilt by Anton Grassalkovich in 1760. in front ofpalace, whichisaedesofPresidentof Slovak Republic, iscourtd´honneur. Wehavewatchedchangingofguards.

  13. Slovak NationalTheatre and sculptureCumil SlovakNationalTheatreismostrepresentative building of Hviezdoslavovosquare. This elegant building was built in1886. Its important part is also Ganymede'sFountain. Cumil - „Man at work“ is one of the mostfamous sculptures and one of bigestattractions in Bratislava.

  15. Devin Castle stands on massive rocky hill above thejunction of rivers Danube and Morava. It wasbuilt on place of former hill-fort. It was firstmentioned in 1271. Zvedavka, why couldn't I go with you to such beautiful castle?

  17. Modra is our first stop on our travel across Slovakia. Modra There were a lot of excellent mastersof pottery working in Modra and theirpottery got also top awards on internationalexhibitions.

  18. Bojnice This is one of the most beautiful and one ofthe most visited castles, not only in Slovakia,but in central Europe. Its present form isa result of rebuild in 19th century. Days ofghosts take place here every year. Bojnicky castleis favorite place for making movies –fairy tales known all around the world.

  19. Terchova This is birthplace of the most popular slovakforest robber and folk hero. JurajJanosikis reminded by steel above-life size statueabove the town. Local museum and „Robberday” is connected with his name and life.

  21. High Tatra Town VysokeTatry (High Tatra) lies inmost beautiful and the only slovakianalp.High Tatra are popular to those, who canappreciate clean air, mountain climate andtraditional slovak hospitality. Do you remember how cold was that water? Of course, it was waterfall on “Cold river”.
