THD History • A TH Group in ANS was formed in 1978 • The Goals of the THD Group were: • Advancement of TH Eng. & Sci. relating to Nuclear Power Industry • Promotion of quality in technical publications & presentations relating to Nuclear Thermal-Hydraulics • The TH Group was advanced to full division status in 1981 with the same goals
THD Mission & Scope • To establish, stimulate, and maintain quality technical & professional approaches in areas of Nuclear Thermal Hydraulics • THD Scope of Activity are: 1) Basic Thermal Hydraulic Science 2) Thermal Hydraulic Engineering 3) Applied Thermal Hydraulic Science 4) TH Training & Standards 5) Quality TH Publication 6) National & International Stature
