Husky Programs Center for Public Health and Health Policy Susan Furbish, RD Assistant Director Community Programs Student Involvement Community Impact Husky Reads: Improving literacy, while introducing new foods and basic nutrition information to preschool-aged children living in underserved areas in Connecticut. Husky Nutrition: Providing basic nutrition and health education, and the tools to teach healthy food preparation and food safety practices to elementary and middle school-aged children and families. Healthy Aging: Using hands on activities to engage older adult learners through reliable and relevant nutrition messages.
