  3. Purpose • Designed to encourage industrial recovery • Help create jobs • Used to create fair competition for the protection of consumers, competitors, and employers

  4. Impact • Organized thousands of businesses under fair trade codes • 40 hour work week for Clerical workers • 36 hour work week for industrial workers • $.40 minimum wage • Abolished child labor • 23,000,000 people worked under the NRA fair codes
