Double Degree Exchange Program 1A-2A at ECL • Prerequisites • Nominated by the student's home university and ECL • Getting at least 120 ECTS credits or the equivalent in the home university at the beginning of the exchange program at Ecole Centrale de Lyon • Getting a minimum level in French from the start of the school year at ECL in order to be able to follow all the courses • Getting a minimum level in English. No beginner classes. In order to obtain the Diplôme d’Ingénieur of ECL, a B2 level in both languages – French and English - will be required during the university period 2

Double Degree Exchange Program 1A-2A at ECLDiplôme d’Ingénieur of the ECL & The diploma of the home university • The whole Double Degree course is composed of : • At least 4 semesters in the home university (according to the partnership agreements) • 4 semesters at ECL • 3 semesters of Common-core(S5, S6 et S7 from the end of August 2013 to February 2015) • 12 scientific teaching units • 1 compulsory language • Projects, Conferences, Sports • Blue-collar worker internship (1 month – Summer 2013) • 1 semester of courses selected from a proposed list & internship (fromFebruary to August 2015) • 5 optional courses selected out of a list of 50 • 1 compulsory language • Projects, Conferences, Sports • Work internship (3 months – May to July 2014) • 4 semesters in the home university 3

The Common-core3 compulsory academic semesters • Semester S7 • GM – Mechanical Engineering– 6 ECTS credits • MSS – Solid Mechanics & Structures – 6 ECTS credits • SHS – Human & Social Sciences – 5 ECTS credits • PRO S7 – The Engineering Profession (Projects, Conferences, Sports) – 6 ECTS credits • Foreign Language – 2 ECTS credits • In-depth courses S7 – 2 courses selected out of a list in the field of INF, MTH, STI; ECS , FLE, GM, MSS, PCM et IDM – total 6 ECTS credits • Semester S6 • FLE – Fluids & Energy – 6 ECTS credits • IDM – Materials Engineering – 6 ECTS credits • PCM – Physics & Chemistry of Material – 6 ECTS credits • STI – Information Science & Engineering– 5 ECTS credits • PRO S6 – The Engineering Profession (Projects, Conferences, Sports & 1 month of Blue-Collar worker Internship) – 8 ECTS credits • Foreign Language – 2 ECTS credits • Semester S5 • ECS – Electrical Energy & Systems Control – 6 ECTS credits • INF – Computer Science – 6 ECTS credits • MTH - Mathematics – 6 ECTS credits • SEM – Economics & Management – 5 ECTS credits • PRO S5 – The Engineering Profession (Projects, Conferences, Sports) – 6 ECTS credits • Foreign Language – 2 ECTS credits 4

Last semester (S8) composed of elective courses & of an internship • Intership • Work internship between 3 and 4 months • 8 ECTS credits • The position practiced and the work performed correspond to the assignments of an Engineer at the beginning of his/her career. • Benefits: Acquisition of work experience, discovery of a corporate culture, improvement of teamwork,… • An internship in one of the 6 research laboratories of ECL is possible. • Semester S8 • Optional courses • 5 courses of 32 hours each, chosen out of a list of 50 possibilities (see double degree program International section of ECL Website) • 3 ECTS credits each • PRO S7 – Engineering Profession (Projects, Conferences, Sports) – 5 ECTS credits • Foreign Language – 2 ECTS credits 5
