  2. Dear diaryOn December 25th 1914 some soldiers in my troop and I decided to leave our weapons behind and go visit our enemies the French and English.

  3. When we got to their trenches we said Merry Christmas to them in their languages.

  4. They had their guns aimed at us for a while but, soon they where convinced we were serious.

  5. It was the best day I had in the war so far.

  6. We did many fun things that day. For example we shared food and drinks, sang songs and we even played soccer!

  7. Unfortunately the war had continued the day after that and many long weeks after that.
